The Coaches Of Our Competitive Teams

Natalie Bartlett - Senior

Natalie has been skating for 18 years and been involved in the BSISC for 16 of these. She is a Level 2 accredited coach with a Bachelor Degree in Secondary Education majoring in health education and home economics. Natalie has coached Nova since 2006  and in this time they have achieved: 2 time senior silver medalist at nationals, 2 times Senior Gold Medalists, Junior National Champions, 5 time Qld state champions, represented Australia in 2011 at Spring cup and French cup.

Natalie was a successful junior and senior synchronized skater competing at Junior worlds, O/S senior international events, and selected to participate in several national and international seminars.

Lisa Ris - Novice Basic


Lisa Ris currently assists across all of our Aussie Skate teams. She is a National Junior and Senior Synchronized Champion and Senior Synchronized National and International representative at World Championships. She commenced working with the BSISC Aussie Skate teams in 2011 and is a long standing member of the BSISC club, having skated from Novice through Senior and gained her accreditation as Level 1 coach in 2012.

Sally Hecke - Adult

Sally has been coaching at BSISC for the past 12 years and has taught across all levels  -  Aussie skate teams, Novice, Junior, Senior, Open and Adult teams.  She is currently coaching Evolution who are the Adult team. Sally has ice skated since she was 12 and was a competitive roller skater before changing to ice skating.  She represented Australia (in ice dancing) at the Junior Worlds in 1988 which was held in Brisbane - as well as various overseas competitions.  She was also a member of the Senior Synchro team – Corps de Patinuers for 5 years. Sally has been coaching in total for the past 16 years, the first 4 years of which was spent in Toronto, Canada.
